In the Fall semester of 2010, I embarked on learning Mandarin, which spanned for 2 more semesters. During this time, I realized how much I loved and admired Chinese culture and history and decided to major in Asian Studies. Fast forward into almost 3 years, and I realized my dream of coming to China by interning with a forum-based website catered to expatriates, appropriately named ShanghaiExpat.com, as an editorial-turned-business intern. There, in the tiny break room and lounge of Ringier China, I began a dysfunctional and crazy time in Shanghai in 56 days from the office and beyond.
