Mankind creates categories, nature does not make such distinctions! ALL are connected!
The 'Making the Link' Study Project began by exploring the serious abuse of animals in Eastern Europe where millions roam the streets and are regarded as easy victims of aggression and violence. Children witness this abuse! 86% of the children in the Pilot Study, had witnessed this in Romania.
How did this affect the children? What are the implications for a broader society?
This is the LINK between animal abuse and inter human abuse patterns...
Aggression was identified... against people, animals and property. Against society! Psychological factors also. Suicidal inclinations, hearing voices...
'The Making The Link' Study Project will address these issues and seek to introduce interventions to improve the lives of the children, of the animals and of the communities in which they live.
The 'Making the Link' Study Project is now regarded as the biggest of its type ever attempted and includes in its Project-Partners team, world leading experts in this domain.
It is anticipated that such a program will act as a model to be replicated in any of the many environments in which such issues exist.
The 'Making The Link' Study Project is unique and will seek to introduce positive cultural change to the benefit of all within their society.
This story-book has been created to provide funding for the 'Making the Link' Study Project.
The 'Making The Link' study is THE European study to identify psychological effects of children regularly exposed to community animal abuse.
