About the Book
Leah moved to the mountains of Colorado to teach. Her interactions with nature, trails, mountains, animals and the backcountry are her adventure which she passes on to children so they too can learn about the outdoors.
This photographic moment took place just two weeks before devastating floods wiped out the canyons north of Boulder, CO. Luckily, Leah's home remained intact, however, lives and the environment around her were changed significantly.
Doug Weisman is a documentary photographer who lives in New England and tries to visit the West whenever possible.

About the Creator
Douglas Weisman
Northeast, United States
I have been behind the camera for almost 50 years as a still photographer and video director of photography. I like to discover off-the-beaten path places, people and environments. Living in the Northeast I spend time exploring small towns, backroads and places forgotten. My most recent exhibition is a collection called Children of the World--images from 40 years photographing kids in their natural environments. If you like what you see please visit my web site or email me. Enjoy!
