The paintings shown here are taken from two recent series of works on paper. Each piece is clearly a landscape, or rather many landscapes at once. My goal as a painter is never to make "a picture of" any single place or moment, but to create a unique, immediate record of having seen and experienced and traveled and felt; a visual aggregate of what caught my eye, as filtered through my imagination. All of the paintings in this book were executed in oils or oils-with-oilbar on paper.

CT, USA
Anthony Falcetta lives and works in central Connecticut, in the pleasant company of his wife and son, and their striped menace of a cat. His abstract paintings, while intensely personal and expressive, are also deeply influenced by the landscapes, coastlines, towns and cities of the Northeast, and by the extraordinary qualities of ordinary things.
