Renee Robbins moved to Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood after earning a MFA from Michigan State University (2005) and a BFA from University of Kentucky (2002). As a painter and printmaker, her art has been exhibited nationally at venues such as La Luz De Jesus (Los Angeles), Alexandria Museum of Art (Louisiana), Center on Contemporary Art (Seattle), and the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (Chicago). Recent solo shows include Firecat Projects, the Union League Club, Adventureland Gallery, and Ann Tower Gallery. After spending a month in Japan, her work was shown in major exhibits at the Kresge Art Museum, the South Bend Museum of Art, and the Alden B Dow Museum of Science and Art. Her work has been featured in Chicago Magazine, Hyperallergic, Artslant, Bad At Sports, Paul Klein’s Art Letter and her work was featured on the cover of the Chicago Reader. This past summer, she was profiled as a ‘Young Chicago Artist to Watch’ in the Chicago Gallery News.
