Born and raised in California, Micah Albert studied and earned his B.A. in photography and graphic arts from Point Loma Nazarene University, Keller Visual Arts Center. His work is internationally recognized and award winning.
He covers news and produces feature stories all over the world including Africa for a variety of clients, including The New York Times, Newsweek, BBC World, Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Times, World Policy Journal, The Sacramento Bee, UNFPA, UNICEF, Runner’s World, The North Face among others.
He has extensively covered Central and East Africa, notably DR Congo and Sudan. He has documented and published work on Sudanese & Chadian IDP & refugee camps, Kenyan post-election violence, active war zones in Sudan, the historic DR Congo election, and life in insurgent controlled North Kivu DR Congo to name a few. He has also been interviewed on NPR and BBC World News.
