Liberian Schools In Black and White
About the Book
This is a book of black and white images of students and conditions in urban and rural Liberian schools in January, 2014. Even a decade after the end of the horrendous civil wars that ravaged Liberia, the conditions are still deplorable - schools lack electricity, books, and often safe drinking water. Yet as you will see from these images, the students in the schools do not lack hope, and go to great lengths to obtain the education they understand they need to have even a chance at a decent life.
