About the Book
'resonate' is a book about the memory of people, the passing faces in life that are so easily forgotten over time. By projecting people’s faces onto water, Brooke Stephens is re-creating the essence of a memory and showing that it is intangible; it is not something solid and certain that can be relied on as true, it is constantly changing. Just as water distorts these faces, experiences distort memory.
This exploration of memory shows its fragility, and its inevitable decay over time.
