About the Book
Photos and a daily journal from a trip to Lake Maggiore, Switzerland, followed by visits to Munich and Bach country (Weimar, Erfurt, Leipzig) and ending in Zurich. All in three weeks in September, 2013.
An alumnus of Hamilton College and Boston University School of Medicine, Bill is now a retired physician (and former US Navy Captain (Medical Corps)) living in York Harbor, Maine with his wife, Amey, their cat Triscuit, and a 50-year collection of American art spanning over 200 years. When they bought their 1891 summer cottage on Aldis Lane, the 14-room house came with all its furnishings, including several 19th century oils which became the nucleus of a growing collection of paintings from the same era - the Gilded Age, or about 1870 to 1915.
