The third volume of Stanley Bad's lyrics contains his Italian songs (including 'Sopracciglia'), some old classics (like 'Plastic Cheese' and 'Spewcut') and some more recent additions to the canon, such as 'Like' which is already proving very popular, and 'Laboratory Equipment' which he wrote for the Rude Mechanicals. This set of songs is perhaps more personal, but as always there is a poignancy lurking beneath the humour. This volume contains 16 songs, including Mr Bad's most recent creation, written (and set) in his local Wetherspoon pub.
Stanley Bad has been writing and recording songs since the late 80s (under the name Geoffrey Sick). In the early 90s he joined the "A Band" in Nottingham. One of several splinter-groups from this collective was a trio called Pineapple in which Stanley (as Geoffrey) played fretless bass and sang, and for which he wrote several songs. Upon moving back to London in '97, he reverted to the name Stanley Bad. He currently writes songs and plays keyboards and other miscellaneous instruments with Bad Moth, Bad Trout, Das Kosmische Bad, Divine Bran, Stanley Badys Ars Dubiosa, and SBAD (Stanley Bad's Adept Dabs).
