Every young girl, throughout her childhood, writes in a diary. Some would call them journals. Words written on paper were considered more than just words. Once the pen touches the paper, the enclosed journeys of a growing teenager is kept hidden from the rest of the world. Whether it is secrets kept locked away for eternity, to unanswered questions of unexplained emotions throughout time. Just like those deep dark untold secrets, poetry speaks the language of expression out loud, in it’s own individual way. Expression leading into more than just mere opinions, but more so a voice. I have combined the diaries of a young growing teenager of my own views on the world, into the growing process of finding not only myself, but Love. I share this journey with you because we all have a voice, but most of all, I want to share my story with you.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, I have lived my life full of wonder and what ifs. Although I have been working since the age of fourteen, I have been placing my thoughts on paper for as long as I can remember. Graduate of University City High School, I have attended Community College of Philadelphia, along with The Art Institute of Philadelphia. My family has been my encouragement to continue to follow my dreams. My mother has been my guidance from my very first steps. The love of my life is now my future. I write allowing my heart to be my mind. I write because my emotions speak for themselves. I write with passion. I write because it defines who I am.
