Colorado & Western Railroad Company Timetable No. 4 is a literary extravaganza. First, it’s a storyline that is written in the format of a railroad employee timetable, but yet is much more than a timetable. The book features the complete rules for operating the Colorado & Western Railroad and my rules and philosophies on model building and model railroading, along with my philosophies on life in general, all intertwined in an elaborate storyline that weaves in and out of reality, fiction, and imagination. Much of this is presented with humor, and at times, point-blank language or subject matter. Therefore, the book is adult reading only and “R” rated. Timetable No. 4 was over 35 years in the making, beginning in 1965, finalized in 2002, and dated 2000. This is the final timetable I will write as it is now complete to my satisfaction. It was originally written for private reading only, but I have now decided to offer it publicly. When you open the cover of Timetable No. 4 you enter the mythological Colorado & Western Railroad Company and will wander around in a halluncinatory adventure that you probably will never forget.
Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He continues to photograph trucks today.
