Images of dynamic earth surface processes as viewed within the mind's eye and captured through the lens. Brief descriptions of the thematic content are given to illuminate the central focus of land surface expressions and energy exchanges throughout the natural environment.
Dr. Danny M. Vaughn is a national board certified mapping scientist (Geographic Information Systems/Land Information Systems, R132GS) registered with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He received a Ph.D. in Physical Geography at Indiana State University with graduate level minors in geology and statistics. His research has been in fluvial geomorphology, catastrophic events, and the mapping sciences. He is a former tenured Professor of Geosciences, who created and directed the Geomatics: Applied Mapping Sciences, and Geospatial Analysis programs at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Dr. Vaughn currently works as an Independent consultant and scholar with a group of professional scientists and educators developing on-line curriculum and programs incorporating geospatial analysis in Earth and environmental sciences (http://seros.us/moodle/).
