Premium quality paper edition. Book 6. In this book Haffy goes to the desert to find footprints of birds and animals in the sand. Haffy gets very excited and follows some big footprints along a sandy track and gets very lost. He discovers a clever way to safely get back to camp. Book 6 is the latest book in the “Say Hello To Haffy” series. The book series is about a fun little four wheel drive vehicle called "Haffy", who goes on real life adventures in Australia. Haffy has a lot to see, a lot to do, and a lot to learn.
The "Haffy" character is based upon an unsung hero of the Australian farmer of the 1960’s and 1970's called a Haflinger. Imported from Europe, and sold in Australia, a Haflinger was used primarily as a farm vehicle in a similar way to how a quad-bike is used today. The Haflinger is highly capable and is equally at home in the bush on muddy tracks, on tracks in the desert, at the beach on the sand, in the snow, or driving on the open road.
The inside pages of this book are premium coated semi-gloss paper to provide a high quality look and feel to the book.
Ideal for emerging reader ability. Good for reading aloud. Grandparent friendly.
Say hello to Haffy, today.

A successful career in science has made me appreciate the importance of the journey that young children undertake to learn to read. The Say Hello to Haffy series has been developed to help foster the love of reading and books in young children. It is also designed to take children to what lies beyond their own suburb or town. Children can learn about Australia as they are learning to read. Let's help our children go through the exciting journey of "learning to read" so they can start to "read to learn".
