Carolyn Kay Chema is an artist specializing in photography and digital media. She was born in 1988 in Naples, Italy where her parents were stationed in the Navy. The family returned to the United States when Carolyn was a young child, first residing in Springfield, Virginia before moving to Dayton, Ohio where she attended secondary school. She graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Studio Arts in 2010. Her work has been exhibited across the country and featured in numerous publications including F-Stop Magazine, The Superstition Review, Twisted Vine Literary Journal and the Society for Photographic Education’s Shutter 2013. In 2013, her exhibition, Somnambulist, was exhibited at The School of Photography at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. Her graduate thesis show, Curiosities, was exhibited in Miami, Florida in April of 2014 in fulfillment of her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Miami.
