This is a whimsical little book about a mischevious leprechaun by the name of Otis Kelly, but Otis is by no means your run of the mill Leprechaun, he is King of the Leprechauns, as well as all wee little folk, which includes fairies, pixies, elves and any other tiny beings. Beneath this layer are the teachings of what it is to be an honest, righteous, loving human being. Along with that are the admittedly bias political beliefs, and beneath all of the previous is the love a Da (father) has for his two beautiful children. That these stories were formally bedtime stories for my kids (at the time I had a passable Irish accent) adds to the unique quality of this book.
