About the Book
Plants Through a Portal turned out to be a great reminder to me, and hopefully for all viewers. I set out with the mindset that every once in a while we should pause and enjoy some of God's creations. I feel that the need to do so rises as our schedules become more packed and stressed. Many of us also tend to spend more of our free time with technology. As I took photographs, I was surprised at some of the details that I saw, and even some plants that I'm sure I've never seen before -- here in central Utah! My goal is that viewers can recognize a simple joy in taking a moment or two to appreciate God's creations. In this particular work, I used a portal (a.k.a. magnifying glass) to practice this goal for myself, and this has helped me to notice more tiny details in the plant structures and colors.
