About the Book
Note: This book is largely full-page scenic pictures and is therefore sold with premium photo-quality paper for maximum enjoyment.
Bellingham and its bay, harbor, docks, old wharfs, and parks, as well as Western Washington University, are only the beginning of the charm and beauty that await you in this pictorial tour of northwest Washington state. Come with us to Maritime, Boulevard, Whatcom, Big Rock, Larrabee and Hovander parks. Then continue as we venture farther to Peace Arch Park at the Canadian border, Gorge power plant in Newhalem, Mount Baker, Heather Meadows with its lakes and mountain views, Deception Pass, and cruise the bay to Victoria, British Columbia. We hope this taste of beauty will inspire you to see these sights for yourself.
At present I am Publicity Coordinator for the South Yuba River State Park in Nevada County, CA, for which I write articles for the media illustrated with my photographs of the park and its events. More extensive photos are published on my web site, where I also publish photo journals of places I have visited. The site includes hundreds of photos and descriptions of wildflowers found at the park. In my former life I wrote hundreds of professional articles, reports, and books while a research engineer at SRI International and APTEK, Inc.
