Italian Job rediscovers the Italy that my father fell in love with during WWII. This is both a photographic and a personal interpretation of the culture and diversity of Northern Italy, from Genoa to Pisa; Florence to Venice via Gambettola, and on to Milan.
Dad was a war photographer and an artist. His love for the outdoors and taking photos was my inspiration to also pick up a camera - back in the 1970's when film and darkrooms were so de rigueur . I love photographing people relating to their personal spaces; as well as capturing the beauty of landscapes and architecture. Many times, I am compelled to photograph strong geometric patterns that result from the interplay of color, light and shapes. I hope those who view my photos enjoy the interesting visual connections I have made. As well as high school teaching I also love wedding photography. My photographic work has been published in Sweden, Japan and New Zealand.
