At Home In The Virgin Islands
St. John, Gibney Beach
by H. Jane Fairchild
About the Book
It seems like whenever we take a well deserved vacation, it is to the south, deep in that part of the ocean where lizards lounge about on cafe walls in St. Croix, or where little corner bodegas attract the most casual sort of folks in St. John.
From following colorful iguanas up a tree to swimming and frolicking with a sea turtle, lazy breezes and tropical drinks bring my family and I to the Virgin Islands, always and over again.
As a research scientist & author, having written six books, I currently reside in New Mexico, Nevada and Utah with my husband, daughter and son. My degree(s) and career experience professionally are in environmental science, cytogenetic technology, environmental biology and wildlife biology. I obviously love to write, naturally, and travel. (And putting together the BLURB coffee table picture books in my spare time are also kind of fun.)
