A visual diary with photographs and stories of a long walk through a hidden landscape where animals rule and make comments on the behavior of man and of themselves. How they like to sit in the front row.
Studied building engineering and graphic design, became a photographer and artist. In his projects pictures and language conspire. Showed his work both in his home land (Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam, art galleries, etc) as abroad (New York, London, Tokyo, Yogyakarta, etc). Published several books; professor of photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, Holland. The photographer is a narrator for whom reality is of minor importance for the truth. Reality needs no proof, only a matter of credibility. The reader/viewer is carried along yes or no. As long as it is appropriate, the narrative is true and real.
