The images in this book were taken during a 3-week journey in Montana. I returned to Missoula to take two photography workshops. One workshop was up in Greenough, MT; and a number of the photos in this book were take in and around Greenough. Many of the sunrise and sunset photos were taken at Harpers Lake, Brown Lake and Holland Lake. The second workshop was in Missoula and while in Missoula, I again took to the road to visit Glacier National Park, and Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge.
While at these various places, I once again am in awe of the landscape, the reflections in the lakes, the early morning mist, the colorful sunrises and sunsets, the autumn colors in the landscape and as always the clouds. Those who know me, know that I love clouds. It is difficult for me to put into words why, but whenever I look up at the sky and/or clouds something in me stirs up emotions that I want to capture and hold onto forever.
As you look at this body of work, you will see many images that may be similar; and this is not by accident. It is what calls to me; and if you look closely, you too may see the differences. We all need to take the time to see the beauty that surrounds us, and do our part in whatever it may be to preserve and protect the earth.
