In this book, you will find the subject of water, explored and rediscovered through my camera and lens, and used to paint photographic images with a reflected perspective.
Fluid, mirror-like water bodies in the environment become the optical medium, reflecting vibrant colours or abstract forms or creating altered realities of luminous intensities. Specific camera techniques employed, add to the artistic vision as well.
The painterly images of the placid waters of Lake Ontario, here in Canada, or a shimmering tidal pool filled by the Atlantic Ocean, in a coastal town in Brazil, will make you want to reflect on a personal level.
The images will provoke a visceral response, questioning your own connection with this natural resource in a whole new way. Whether aesthetically inspiring or necessary for our survival, water in all its forms on this planet, is a subject never too far from our minds.
