Spiritual Visions of Thailand is a photo compilation of the temples of Wat Yansangwararam and the lunar festival of the Loy Krathong in Pattaya, Thailand. Profits from this book go to funding a photographic expedition to the orphanage in Pattaya for journalistic documentation and philanthropic resources.
The temples of Wat Yansangwararam are located just outside of Pattaya, Thailand and contain extraordinary examples of Thai-Buddhist architecture. Much more than structures of form and matter, these grand spaces create a wondrous sense of spiritual peace and presence of moment.
In additional to the temples, the lunar festival of the Loy Krathong was observed both at the orphanage and along the coast of Pattaya by thousands. A wonderful, colorful and spirited gathering where little rafts of banana leaves, candles, incense and flowers are sent on a journey with a wish for a loved one. An experience I will never forget to be sure. I hope you enjoy these images.
