About the Book
A photographic document of a journey to the West Coast of Sri Lanka, beginning from Matara, a town in the southern tip of the island. Over 3 days, the journey covered major towns along the western coastal areas. Weligama is popular for its stilt fishing and surfing, Galle is well known for its 16th century fort, Kasgoda, a small beach town with beautiful landscape, and Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka. The journey ended with a train ride to Negombo, a well known fishing town, north of Colombo.

Dashuki is an amateur photographer who is deeply passionate about landscape, nature, and travel photography. Over the years he had travelled to various destinations in Malaysia and other countries to capture memorable moments from diverse races, cultures, and beliefs. His work had been featured in nonprofit magazines and websites including in National Geographic, where his work was selected as a Photo of the Day, February 4 2009.
