'60 Years Retrospective' is a collection of mostly black and white images from the archives of June Jacobsen — from her younger self and throughout the years, some self-portraits, a few from portrait workshops where she modeled for the instructors, many with the assistance of others, and shot with cameras ranging from the Argoflex to SLRs, Mamiyas and finally a series of DSLRs.

Jacobsen used herself as subject to learn much technique in portraiture, has operated a prominent studio on Long Island, New York, since 1984, and earned the Master Photographer Degree in 2000. For four consecutive years she received the Top Portrait Photographer Award from the Professional Photographers of Greater New York and recently won a National Geographic Photo Contest and a trip for two to Galapagos Islands.

Well-traveled, and being a portrait photographer, Jacobsen sets up portraits on location – included are Antarctica, Kenya, Alaska, Norway, Italy, Iceland, Wales, England, U.S, and Galapagos Islands.
