This publication was made as a research project for the Raymond Lemaire International Center for Conservation, part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Leuven. Volume I is a historical overview of the building history within this building. Starting with construction in 1934 as a part of Citroën's marketing strategy, the building grew out to be an icon pretty fast. Different transformations through time changed the building, mostly on the interior. Some transformations gave an added value, some compromised the initial values of the building. By the end of the book and in Volume II the current architectural values are described in word & image. We strongly recommend ordering Volume I & II together.
