The purpose of this book is historical documentation of trucking, as collected by the author. The timeline is the late-1940s thru late-1970s. Included are company glossy photos or paper prints that were gifts to the author; photos taken by the author; late-1950s Goodyear Tire Co. ads featuring unique trucking artwork; A. G. Bontrager trucks from the late-1940s thru mid-1960s; D. A. Bontrager's trucks from the late-1960s and 1970s; trucks with new Double Eagle sleepers in the late-1970s. This is a great collection of vintage truck photos.
Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He continues to photograph trucks today.
