At age 45, college professor, mother and poet Kimberlynne Darby Newton was struck down. This book is a message from Kim on the lessons she learned being a stroke survivor of not just one, but two strokes. She wants to share her story with you in the way she most loves……..poetry. The book is broken up into three sections, “Before”, “During” and “After”. Life before the stroke with honest truths, during to describe her fear and pain and after to share her fight to overcome and get her life back. If you ever need to learn some lessons from someone who knows how to fight for what they want, Kim will teach you powerful ones.
