About the Book
South East Asia's Golden Triangle is considered the most ethnically diverse region, in a fifty mile radius, than any other place on the planet. It is known for its mystery, folklore, historic wonder, and most especially for its colorful, hill tribe people who are among the world's most unique. Photographer "Bangkok Blue" Johnson has spent the past 27 years documenting the various hill tribes that reside in Thailand's portion of the Triangle. The photographs in this book were taken between the years of 1983 and 2008 and the collection documents the tribes in their various traditional clothing, and jewelry, along with their unique handicrafts and strange customs. Many of these nomadic tribes have existed for thousands of years and have also managed to live together and raise their families in peace and harmony.
