Motivational book to help support and motive women as they return to college to obtain their undergraduate degree.
Dana E. Phillips (A.B. Women’s Studies, Minor in Human Development and Family Sciences, Interdisciplinary Writing Certificate, UGA) I began my college career in the fall of 1997 at DeKalb Community College as an Art major, through several major changes and life events I ended up at the University of Georgia in the fall of 2011 to pursue a degree in Women’s Studies. The main focus of my research has been on how race, class, and gender influence the identity development process in adolescents and women. I have also focused my efforts on activism work and consumer advocacy. Through all of this, my love of writing has remained constant and I have felt the empowering nature of accomplishing a personal goal. Seventeen years later, I can finally close the door on my Undergraduate degree and look forward to furthering my academic pursuits.
