About the Creator
Keith A. Barker was born in 1968, and spent his early childhood in Tokyo, Japan. Barker works in many facets of photography—from large-format film cameras to more modern digital varieties. Using such a variety of photographic tools and methods, his work centers around people, places and objects that relay a sense of history and time’s passage. Barker is active in producing and exhibiting photographic projects, while balancing a full teaching load. Currently Professor and Art Department Chair at Asbury University, he has taught Photography and Graphic Design since 2000. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Asbury College (1991) and a Master of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design (2000) in Georgia. Barker enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children, where they live in central Kentucky. He recently returned from a sabbatical leave in the Bahamas and Greece.
