A Belgian journalist Iris Natal gets kidnapped and is shipwrecked in a storm off the coast of Goa, India. She gets saved by a South African surfer whose sailboat also went down, but suffers from some injuries and memory loss. For three weeks they learn to survive on an uninhabited island and fall in love. Meanwhile the Russian Mafia and some Indian smugglers are trying to retrieve a valuable lost parcel. Unknowingly, Leonard Stolk and Iris end up in the middle of a crime. All this goes on while Leonard and Iris tell each other their life stories. The plot, location and names are all fictional, except for the two main characters whose stories are biographical.
