Ten images and an artist statement from the China Life 2008 project have been selected for a 2009 exhibition on the Silver Eye New Works Gallery Online. One image was selected for inclusion in the ONWARD '09 Exhibition at the Project Basho Gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Peter Barberie, Curator of Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Alfred Stieglitz Center. Twenty-four images and an artist statement from the China Life 2008 project were selected for exhibition on the Fotomission.org website. The back cover image received an Honorable Mention Award in the 2008 International Photography Awards Competition. Finally, a 2006 image included in the book was selected for inclusion in the 2007 Member's Exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado by Steve Simmons, Publisher and Editor of View Camera magazine.
