Walking into my Garden is a book about gardens, fantasies and dreams, and the connections we have between our gardens and our personalities, and particularly about how this is manifested in the English culture.
To be read alongside 'A Mercurial Fairytale - development' which gives more information about the background to the project and the research which underpinned it, this book chronicles the interviews with some of the gardeners approached as part of this project, alongside pictures of their gardens and one or two-word descriptions which illustrate their personal connections to their gardens.
Antonisia has extensively studied photography and has hosted several of her own exhibitions. Antonisia is currently working on collaborations with a number of other artists at the University of East London while also continuing to develop her own successful photography business. 2012 also sees her take a lead role in the Essex Summer of Art, taking place in the county as part of the Olympic Legacy projects. Her background has an international flavour, having been born in Brazil and travelled extensively in South America and Europe. This cultural knowledge has informed and enhanced her photography and brings a vividity and dynamism to her artwork.
