More than 150 photographs taken from the 1950s to the 1990s capture the architecture, the people, the landscape, and the history and culture of Venezuela. Images range from Caracas, to the Andes, to Margarita, to Canaima, and are accompanied by text excerpted from published travel articles by the writer-photographer and from his personal travel journal.
The writer-photographer understands Venezuela and its people because he is married to a Venezuelan and has visited that country many times. He also exhibits his photography and has earned awards for many images in the book.
