Photo book showing some of the animals found at the Firestone Center for Restoration Ecology in Baru, Costa Rica. The property, originally lowland rainforest, is in various states of being restored, and is located next to the Hacienda Baru, a large tract of mature rain forest. This diversity of habitats provides for an amazing array of wild things.
The animals include a diverse set of critters, from the deadly fer de lance snake to camouflaged insects to the bold and colorful. Many of the animals are identified both with their common name and scientific name.
