This is a book filled with strangers.
Like many photographers I have always found the human face endlessly fascinating, both for what it reveals and for what it hides. This fascination is heightened when I travel abroad with my camera. The combination of unfamiliar people, photographed in a foreign land, lends itself to portraits which for me are particularly thought-provoking. Who are they? What kind of lives do they live? What are their hopes and dreams?
This is a selection of a few of my favourite images of the strangers whose lives I have briefly glimpsed in the last couple of years - some for a few minutes others for no more than a few seconds, but all of whom have captivated me and left me wondering...
