WAR: 1914 -1918
The Photographs of J. Patras
by J. Patras, restored and presented by Charles R. Lawson, CPP
A collection of WWI photographs by photographer J. Patras of Paris, France. Images show the ravages of war in the Champagne-Ardennes region of France, namely the towns of Villedommange, Sacy, Flanders, and Reims.
This particular collection was brought home by a returning veteran of the war, Hannibal Ellis Potter. Potter was involved in the U.S. cavalry and completed two tours of duty even after being severely wounded at the controls of a tank.
The images have been gently restored and sharpened, but are presented here in truly original form.
Fine art portrait studio specializing in all areas of family portraiture as well as weddings and non-destructive image restoration.
