About the Book
Starting either a few hours after sunset or at two in the morning, these photographs document my exploration of empty and vacant spaces. During these walks, I searched for spaces that made me feel vulnerable and scared. Once the night fell the spaces changed, the darkness and unknown was all around me. Even though these places were initially bare, people of the night still found their way into the images. It was in this moment I realized the spaces were not always empty and I was not always alone. The grain of the black and white film gives texture to the spaces and highlights the ghostly quality of the people that move through the images.
