About the Book
I really couldn't generalize what Filipino cuisine is all about and that's coming from someone who was raised all his life in this culturally-diverse archipelago. We are more than the world-renowned hospitality and universally competitive business process workforce. Our gastronomy is as sundry as our multi-regional nation of strong Spanish-Chinese influence. But our ability to adapt to the ever dynamic global changes made us survive the world economic crisis and our food choices progressed with our international taste as well. There is nothing that could prepare you for the assortment of bursting flavours, the beat of every festival parades, the crunchy soggy honeyed native delicacies, delightfully tangy tropical drinks, sweet and sour staples complemented with fresh white rice, freshly grilled seafood and loads of exotic grub for the adventurous. Every day is a pleasurable surprise, every meal exudes sultry decadence. Photo and text by JayseeBlabs www.jaysee.me Let me take you to the Food Diary of the Filipino people.
