About the Book
A study of the effects of decay. This book contains images of my first 10 explorations in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The subject matters range from residential, commercial and industrial locations found in Greensboro, High Point, Denton, Seagrove, Oak Ridge and Jamestown NC. The inspiration for this study came as result of my photo portfolio project. The subject matters all show history, age and neglect. The post production of the shots was only to wash out the colors for that vintage feel and to add the neglected damaged look. I used one prop which was a brown paper bag and at least one photo per location has it in the shot. The bag starts out new and as the locations change, it becomes torn and crumpled, decaying along with the main subject matters. See if you can find it.
