About the Book
(Economy Paper) Leaving a grey England for a greyer Gibraltar in November 2006 I was planning to travel, to sit on an overland truck and be driven around the coast of Africa anticlockwise all the way to Cairo. Written at the time when aged 19, here is my first hand account of what actually happened... Illustrated with 250 colour photos and maps on economy paper.
All profits will go to a cycling charity: BEN Namibia
My first book, ‘Rolling Round Africa’ is finally available to buy in print! The book is made up of 258 pages (20cm x 25cm) of my diaries and emails home as I travelled around Africa aged 19. Its many adventures are thoroughly illustrated with 250 odd photos and maps and therefore it’s only offered in colour print. The quality of the photos comes out much better on the standard paper, though if you’re more interested in the story, the economy paper version is perfect. The entire book can currently be read for free online by clicking ‘Preview’. It’s available to buy in the following 4 formats: Economy paper, softback £17 Economy paper, hardback £25 Standard paper, softback £35 Standard paper, hardback £45 All profit from each book (£4-£5 per copy) will go to the charity where I built my bike ‘BEN Namibia'. Therefore even if you think the book is rubbish, you’ll have done them a good deed! Get in touch if you’d like it made available as a pdf or ipad compatible ebook.
