About the Book
Born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1975, Meredith Pardue, is an acclaimed contemporary artist whose work is widely recognized for its abstract botanical forms and nature derived images. Upon earning a B.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia, Pardue traveled extensively across the U.S. and France, finding inspiration from the varied regions and coasts of the South, Pacific Northwest, Northeast, and Southwest. In 2003 she completed her M.F.A. in Painting at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Pardue’s works continue to gain critical acclaim, and are prominently displayed in numerous private and notable corporate collections including Baylor, Scott and White Children's Hospital, BBVA Compass Bank, Exxon-Mobil Corporate Headquarters, Genstar Capital, J. Crew Corporate Headquarters, Lamar Corporate Headquarters, The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Oceania Cruise Lines, Savannah College of Art and Design, and the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center. Her work has been exhibited worldwide and has been published in a variety of periodicals including Architectural Digest, Boston Globe Magazine, Dwell, Luxe Magazine, New American Paintings, Professional Artist Magazine, and The Southern Review.
P A I N T is a substantial collection of Pardue's abstract paintings created between 2013-2015 and includes a selection of black and white images from photographer Christopher Durst's photo essay of Pardue working in her studio in 2014.
