These are buildings that have been witness to the history of early farming families. They have, in a lot of cases, survived many storms and provided shelter for many of the farm animals that fed not only the farm families that lived there but the entire area around them in many cases. The ones found in my book came from different parts of our country but mostly from western Pennsylvania where I live. They are in all types of condition from nearly new to falling apart where you can see through them and you know they will soon be gone and the land where they were standing will once again be open and bare showing no sign of the treasure from the past that once stood there.
