This book houses a collection of images of the Vriend family green house. I originally took these pictures with a different purpose in mind, and had recently decided I would put them together for our family to enjoy. With the passing of my Uncle, who had planned to rebuild the green house, I immediately decided it should be a tribute to him, and his years of growing and nuturing. This has brought much more meaning to the work as a whole, for me, and hopefully to all who open it's pages from here forward.
Photography has been one of my most gratifying hobbies. My dad was the first person to show me how a camera worked...and ever since then it has brought endless fascination. With the digital era it is even more gratifying...being able to see your images instantly on those beautiful LCD screens... I take images, mainly, for my own pleasure. As much as I would like others to enjoy my work, I am more concerned with how I feel about it and if I captured exactly what I saw through the lens. I plan on being behind a camera for many years to come!
