About the Book
Description: The Art of Respect. My book is a paintographic essay. Intricate in its presentation, subliminal in it's meaning and with a philosophy in the art of my art.
Symbolism is used in a variety of forms to make my point blatantly clear. From the very first pages the reader will identify with this meaning because a pre-judgement will already have been made.
The concept for the book began as an inspirational ideal caused by the dismissive reactions and pre-judgements of brush strokes not created by coloured mud on cloth.
The book was the basis for my entry into the Australian SCU 2007 Artist's Book Award with additional components added (and subtracted) to further enhance the concept. Unfortunately, the finished book with the modifications can not be viewed on Blurb but can be seen at my website www.paintography.me
It won first prize!
