About the Book
“…lit and presented with enormous flair, in drool-worthy colors, framed to kinky perfection.”
- Fangoria Magazine
Inspired by the sci-fi films and TV shows of the 1950s and 1960s, INVASION is a photo series that picks up where storytellers like Ray Bradbury left off and jettisons us to a retro-futuristic society inhabited by beautiful humans, diabolical masterminds and alien life forms both organic and synthetic.
With over 70 carefully crafted science fiction-inspired images, INVASION tells the story of a town being overtaken by an evil corporation. Insidious plots against humanity loom large within its 124 pages.
This sci-fi extravaganza features some favorite faces from the world of entertainment. Author and the Party Monster himself, James St. James plays “Dr. Milton Vincent”, the devilish CEO of the Infinity Corporation. RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite Tammie Brown will startle you as Mrs. Esther Maxine Vincent. Keep an eye out for multi-platinum Drum and Bass Producer DJ Rap. You’ll be enraptured when you see comedian and “The Worlds Best Christian” Deven Green strike a pose as “The Queen.”
Patrick McPheron is an artist living in Downtown Los Angeles. Patrick’s work has been seen in art shows hosted by various groups and galleries, including World of Wonder Gallery, photo l.a., Bagavagabonds, Spiva Gallery, Photo Independent, and Magic Garage. The world premiere INVASION exhibition was featured in several local and national media outlets including Fangoria, LA Weekly, Frontiers, LA-ist and more. The immersive show was also picked up as part of the "Bringing Back Broadway" initiative in downtown Los Angeles which was attended by over 60,000 people.
