About the Book
Newport Beach artist Jenny Shaw has been using dancers as her subject matter
Since 2002, this is her third series. She loves the way the dancer’s bodies extend
to the extreme and the poses are full of passion and emotion. However, copying
the image is not her intention; she borrows the images of the dancer as the vehicle
to convey her feelings.
The theme of this whole body of work is the celebration of life. She titled the series
“OPUS #0”, life is short, anyone should clean up the chaos, eliminate the unnecessary,
reset and start a magnum opus.
