About the Creator
Cornelis Peters studied for Ayurveda doctor in Trivandrum, Kerala, South India. Cornelis is the director of Europa Ayurveda Centrum in the Netherlands and an international authority on the efficacy of medicinal herbs on biological systems. Cornelis is actively involved in the promotion of Ayurveda in primary health care in Europe. The strong calls due to high costs for a renewal of primary health care create an ideal opportunity to revisit the place of traditional medicine, to take a positive look at its many contributions to health care that is equitable, accessible, affordable, and people-centred. The two systems of Traditional and Western medicine need not clash. Within the context of primary health care, they can blend together in a beneficial harmony, using the best features of each system, and compensating for certain weaknesses in each. He is engaged in scientific research into the effectiveness of traditional Ayurvedic medicines together with knowledge institutes.
